| WSI delivers services across the entire life-cycle of a proposal. We serve customers primarily in the Washington, DC, and Tidewater Virginia metropolitan areas, but many of us travel to work sites across the U.S. (and sometimes overseas) as needed.
Although our customer base grows steadily, many of our engagements are repeat and referral business.
For each engagement, WSIs president or a senior manager consults with our client to assess the most efficient and cost-effective level of support, and we assign a key associate or a multi-person team who matches precisely the proposals needs. We can play a leadership or support role, as appropriate.
We work closely with our client's capture or proposal manager and team to help plan and organize the proposal development effort and get writing activities on track. Our specialists work across all parts of a proposal -- executive summaries, management and technical volumes, past performance and capabilities summaries, resumes, oral presentation slides, plans, and even cost volumes.
WSIs associates use proven methodologies and tools, tailored to our client's environment, to carry out the following proposal development activities:
Analyze an RFP to prepare a responsive outline and compliance matrix, plan the writing and development effort, and establish activity milestones. |
Participate in strategy sessions to help define the program's critical needs and our client's winning themes and discriminators. |
Prepare detailed writing templates or storyboards to structure and define the writing effort, and brief client staff in proposal writing techniques and shortcuts. |
Design presentation formats and keystone graphics to showcase and illustrate the solution. |
Work with client staff to write, rewrite, edit, illustrate, and produce the proposal under strict version control procedures. |
Manage review teams to review, refine, and perfect the proposal, and support final rewriting activities. |
Prepare scripts and projection media for oral presentations, and coach presenters. |
Support additional follow-on activities such as clarifications, live test demonstrations, deliverables, and other tasks in the win process -- even protests. |
During each effort, we work with our client to reassess work priorities and staffing needs on a continuing basis. We track progress and report results, staying in tune with the evolving needs of the proposal. We prepare valuable lessons learned, if requested, after proposal submission.
Our goals are to ensure compliance with and responsiveness to the RFP, produce a high-quality proposal, and meet all deadlines. |
